Thang Long is a Vietnamese restaurant serving quality fusion style cuisine in an attractive house set in the upmarket Langsuan area. The interior has a modern stylish look and features a small waterfall behind the interior glass facade. The seating consists of cozy window tables lit by large candlelit lamps and a long central table that is usually occupied by large groups. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance enhanced by soft background music. There is an outside dining area in the courtyard garden though the lighting is rather dim.
The extensive picture menu resembles a photo album with one dish per page and is filled with so many enticing looking dishes that it’s hard to choose, making it a good idea to choose several dishes to share. There is also a Thai food menu at the back though no pictures. Most of the classic Vietnamese dishes are present in some form while vegetarians are well catered for and should sample the deep-fried shitake mushroom balls. The Thai food is also excellent. If you like Vietnamese food but want more of a fine dining experience at a reasonable price then Thang Long is an excellent choice. It is recommended that you make a reservation on weekends. Ask for a window table.
